Breast enlargement is a very popular option for women who want to
enlarge small breasts, underdeveloped breasts or breasts that have
decreased in size after pregnancy. Results are achieved by inserting a
breast implant containing saline solution or silicone. The size of the
implant is selected by the patient and Dr. Finkle, who has successfully
implanted over 6,500 breast implants. This procedure is performed by
making a minimal incision in the fold of the skin below the breast, in
the armpit, under the areola, or in the umbilicus. The breast tissue
is elevated from the chest and a surgical pocket is made either above
or below the pectoralis muscle which is where the breast prosthesis is
placed. This can be performed as an outpatient in our private office
surgery suite.
