(Otoplasty) For abnormally positioned ears or ears that protrude more than normal, Dr. David Finkle may recommend ear surgery or otoplasty. The procedure can be performed in an outpatient surgical suite at any age – even for children of five or six years. Dr. Finkle reshapes the cartilage or supporting tissues so the ears are placed in a more normal position. Stitches close the surgical site and subsequent scars are concealed in the natural skin crease behind the ears. |
